Dear Olive Branch Families,
The safety of your children is our utmost priority. We have been in constant evaluation of the circumstances surrounding the coronavirus. As President Trump has declared a national emergency due to the coronavirus, we will be closing school effective March 16th. We will be updating you, but at this point, we are closing until April 3rd and school will resume April 6th.
Please know that the decision to close the school is not taken lightly and understand this is an inconvenience for your family. We do want to follow the guidelines of the Governor as well as comply with what the local districts around us are doing to take every precaution to ensure student and family safety.
Our building will be closed, but plans are in place to continue learning during this time. Your students were sent home with basic essentials to complete their work today. We will be updating information and assignments via Renweb. You can log on to Renweb to see what assignments your child should complete. If there are pages that need to go home, they will be mailed or emailed. We will be sending home weekly packets for the younger students. If your child should have any questions our teachers will be available via phone to talk to your child through a concept or even facetime with them. The number is 951-356-8121.
Teachers are available to chat live from 8:30am to 3:00pm. You can also leave a voicemail if you have a pressing question outside of instruction hours and the teacher will get back to you the next day. All items on Renweb will be current by 12pm on Monday, March 16th.
We know this is a rapidly changing situation and will be updating you frequently on any changes. Should you be in desperate need of child care due to work circumstances, there are some families who have volunteers to help, if you are available to help, please contact at the school office as well and we are trying to connect these families together.
Thank you for your support.
In His Service,
“The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.” Psalm 28:7
With the recent announcement of the schools in the Corona/Norco District shutting down beginning next week, we wanted to update you on how this will affect our church services moving forward.
We will be meeting on campus as planned this weekend (3/14 & 3/15) and Pastor Greg will be sharing a special message. If you are over the age of 70, have underlying issues that make you more susceptible to COVID-19, or feel uncomfortable please join us Sunday at 9:30am on Facebook or Youtube for our Livestream.
Beginning next week (3/16) we will be shutting down and moving to ONLINE only services. Please continue to follow us for updates on various ministries and events through social media, our church app, and our website. We will continue to keep you updated as things change.
We look forward to seeing you this weekend in person or online.
- There are no known cases of the virus in our immediate area.
- We are taking precautions to disinfect our facility. This includes continual disinfecting of door handles, children’s classrooms before & after service, and providing hand sanitizer.
- Until further notice, will not be providing coffee, donuts, and refreshments out of a precaution.
- Because our facility is of a smaller nature, we will be following the county guidelines of no gatherings larger than 250 people.
- We are asking those who are over 70 years old, those that have underlying health issues, and if you are not feeling well to please stay home and join our online live stream which can be found on Facebook and Youtube. We will have online hosts ready to greet you, pray with you, and join you on our live stream.
We know all of you are concerned with COVID-19 (corona virus) and we want you to know that we are keeping up-to-date on what’s happening and implementing the best methods we can to keep you safe. Join Pastor Greg as he provides updates on what Olive Branch is doing and answers questions as to whether we will be having church and what to expect moving forward. We’re continuing to pray for you and with you. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to us.
